S.T.E.A.M. Initiatives

The S.T.E.A.M. Initiatives at NHACS:

  • Articulates a coherent S.T.E.A.M. mission and vision within the existing culture that is clear to all school constituents and is successfully sustained by an innovative S.T.E.A.M. culture and program evaluation system
  • Creates structures and time for strategic planning that builds capacity for continuous improvement
  • Encourages a trans-disciplinary approach to curriculum and instruction that promotes student-centered inquiry, problem-based learning, and teacher collaboration
  • Engages community based organizations, higher education institutions, businesses and other external partners who offer S.T.E.A.M. education programs and support as a means of encouraging school communities (administrators, teachers, and students) and families in S.T.E.A.M. learning
  • Prepares students for S.T.E.A.M. post-secondary and careers by providing equitable access to all students and provides S.T.E.A.M. educational experiences, beginning in elementary school and continuing throughout middle and high school
